Javar Avery

Founding Partner, Chairman, & CEO

Javar is the chairman and CEO of the firm and is responsible for the firm’s strategy.

Javar is responsible for sourcing, valuation, vetting, capital raising, and working with management teams posts-close to achieving financial results. Before starting Sun & Moon, Javar completed the buyout transaction of a family-owned coffee sandwich shop. Javar subsequently become owner and operator of a medical courier service while serving as a board member and shareholder of a toxicology laboratory that grew revenues from $500,000 to $20 million. Javar is a Babson University’s Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business program graduate. Javar holds a B.S. in Finance.

Javar resides with his wife and four kids in Wilmington, North Carolina. Javar enjoys baseball, reading, hiking, biking, and above all, time with family.
